  • increase user app memory to more than 1gb

first I got these informations from 4pna.com and I didn't have the time to test it yet but it seems to be working fine as I read
tool you will need to extract and repack the firmware

    RK3xxx_firmware_tools_5.99.07.00.rar

    another link

    or just google it

Rooting - you will need this file root.zip - if you don't want to root your device just jump to step 19

    9- imagesLoc.jpg

    9-singletool extract sys.jpg
    to continue....
    Next steps in post #7

try this on your own risk - I didn't try it yet
That format the internal_sd partition only, not the whole memory. BTW it's necessary to be 1 if you are changing partition sizes (eg. from 1 to 2GB)

System partition and user data are formatted each time you flash a firmware.

          Hi,
One of the members said that he used Kingo to root his unit.
You might like to try it,

          Regards, Leigh.

22 - last step from the firmware folder at step 2 open the file update.config, change "clean_internal_sd" from 0 to 1 to force the formatting internal memory when you change user apps partition size.
              root.zip
if anyone have easier or better way please tell us ...

I tried this with my m294-2 and everything worked fine - try this on your own risk

                  Hi,
Warning: Your radio is not RoadNav S160 be careful which directions you choose to follow.

You should make sure that you can get a copy of your firmware from your seller before trying to "root" your device.
You might end up with a "Brick".

                  Regards, Leigh
